Invoice Discount Types

Discounts include all reductions applied to the invoice, whether item-level discounts or overall invoice discounts, and are calculated before determining the final amount due.

Discounts are amounts or percentages deducted from the invoice value in order to reduce the total amount due from the customer. These discounts may be applied for various reasons such as promotional offers, special agreements, or pricing policies. Discounts are divided into two main types: a discount applied at the item level within the invoice line, and a discount applied at the overall invoice level after all items have been calculated.
